Boston Market is changing its name to All White Market after its owner decided it was too white.
The new name is based on the fact that the entire market is now being run by black men and women.
The brand will now be called All WhiteMarket and is taking orders online and at the Market’s three locations, located in Boston, Framingham and Somerville.
The company says it is “moving forward with a diverse team of black, white and minority-owned professionals who are committed to improving the quality of our products and service.”
This is not the first time the market has changed its name.
Last year, the Market was renamed All Black Market, but this time around, the brand has chosen to stay true to its original name.
The All Black Markets’ new name was unveiled at the Boston market on Wednesday.
Boris Peralta, co-founder and CEO of the market, told Fox News that it was time to make the change.
“We have been thinking about changing our name for years and we are going to take this moment to make a change and say we are really excited to finally change the name of our business to All BlackMarket,” Peraltas said.
“Our customers are excited about the new name and are very happy with the outcome.”
The Boston Market will be selling more than just gelcaps, it will also be selling ice cream, hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches, chips, ice cream and other treats, according to a press release.
The Boston market was the first in Massachusetts to accept credit cards, and this year, it plans to have a $200 million, 20,000 square foot expansion that will feature a 200,000-square foot grocery store and restaurants.
“We’re so excited to be opening our doors in Boston,” said Market president and CEO Andre Gualtieri.
“We’ve had such an amazing relationship with the community, and we want to give them another opportunity to come in and visit the market and experience the freshness and quality of what they can expect.”
The new Boston Market stores are located at the following locations:Boston Market at the Roxbury Town Center in Roxbury, Dorchester, Somerville, Framhampton, and Framingham.
The Market is located at 890 Boylston Street in Somerville and at 3100 Boyleston Street in Boston.
Boston Market in Framingham is located on the corner of Boylson and Newbury Streets.
The Boston Markets are also the first market in Massachusetts where people can bring in an unlimited amount of cash from any source.
