The Boston Fish and Seafood Market is expanding its footprint in downtown Cambridge, the city’s largest.
The market, which is located on West Massachusetts Avenue, will be the first in the state to serve Bostonians and will open in October, the company said in a news release on Wednesday.
The market will offer a wide range of seafood from local fish to more exotic varieties such as lobsters, cod, king mackerel and other sea creatures.
Bostonians will also be able to enjoy fish tacos, artisanal cheeses, and more from the new location.
The Boston Fish & Seafood market has been operating in the heart of Cambridge for more than two decades.
In 2017, the market expanded to a new space and reopened in September 2017.
It has since expanded to two more stores.
Boston Fish & Oyster Co., the company that owns the Boston Fish market, said that it will operate a “fairly conventional” business model.
The company will serve a limited number of customers, it said.

“We expect the market to provide a strong customer experience, including food and beverage offerings, a variety of local produce and seafood, live entertainment, and a full-service bar,” the company wrote.
